Unity Blog Hop September 2016!

What!? It’s the end of September already?

Here’s my post where I show you how I’ve been using Unity Stamp Company stamps through the month of September. I’ve done some scrapbooking, some rolodex’ing, and made a fall-themed canvas, too.

I haven’t done any scrapping in a while and thought I’d get back into it by scrapping a wonderful experience I had in the month of September with my daughter.

Me and Brandi were lucky enough to catch Jake Bugg at Ace of Spades in Sacramento, CA. If you haven’t heard of Jake Bugg, look him up. You’ll be glad you did. Brandi surprised me with these tickets back on Mother’s Day, so I’ve been anticipating this date for a while. His set was spectacular and it was a perfect venue to see this young man perform. I’m so lucky!  By far, the BEST live performance I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen quite a few). We’ve lost some legends this year in the music industry, but this artist gives me hope for the future. He’s done so much already. Really. Look him up.

On the above layout, I used EVERY NEW kit by Jolande & Marleen’s release this week at Unity Stamp Company. I also used a sentiment from Unity’s September’s Kit of the Month and a sentiment from Your Life Yours by Angie Blom.

Here’s the fall-themed canvas I created this month for DT Tuesday on Unity’s blog.

Here’s a recap of some of that blog post: Today I’m sharing a 7-x-5-inch mixed media canvas I created using a sentiment from Unity Stamp Company’s September Kit of the Month, the truck-and-pumpkins image from Angie Blom’s Great Blessings kit, and a NEW stamp from one of Jolande and Marleen’s new kits.

On the above canvas, I used lots of mixed media techniques like adhering tissue paper, adding distress paint, and using distressing tools, but what makes it really come to life are the stamped images from Unity Stamp Company. I’m hoping to get started (sort of late but not really) on my Fall décor. The best time to decorate is in the season anyway. That’s usually when I finally get off my bottom and gets things going. It’s just how I’m inspired—feeling it happening around me--you know, in the moment.

And here’s the rolodex cards I created for the lovely month of September using Unity Stamp Company stamps for a SMAK/LOL Saturday post on the Unity Stamp Company blog.

Here’s a recap of some of that blog post: It’s Camille here today using September’s SMAK and LOL kits on some DIY rolodex cards I made using my Silhouette Cameo to display on a second-hand rolodex rotary card holder.

So a couple of weeks ago, I finally pulled out a rolodex card holder I had scored at a thrift store that I had been holding onto for quite a little while. I decided to get crafting and put it to good use this Fall/Winter to display some quick Unity stamping projects. Here’s another look at one of the cards from above.

If you have any of these lying around your office, garage, craft room or otherwise, put them to good use and display some of your stamping projects. You’ll be glad you did.

I love that you post your own face inside of the Angie girls. Do you have a tutorial or a quick tip video to show us how to do this? Thanks!
