Unity Blog Hop 11.27.14!

Not only is it Thursday and the Unity Hop, but TODAY is Thanksgiving in the United States!  I have a layout with a video to share with you on what I’m thankful for—my family.

Featured in the layout above is a picture of my four children being goofy and silly together while we were at Disneyland. When this magic happens, these are the happiest times in my life. My family is my reason for everything. Being a wife to my husband and a mother to my children completes me. That’s the truth. I cannot imagine my life without them and I couldn’t be more proud of them and my husband.

“I may not be perfect, but when I look at my children, I know that I got something in my life perfectly right.”

That quote says it all.

What are YOU thankful for?

Be Yourself with NEW Video

Today I’m sharing a card I put together using this month’s AH-Mazing SMAK and Layers of Life kits available at Unity Stamp Company.

Trust Your Soul and Dwelling Dots

I just cannot resist butterflies. They symbolize transformation, beauty, and independence. The butterfly in this month’s SMAK kit is PERFECTION. There’s even a little heart right at the top of it’s wing. What great detail!

This month’s Layers of Life kit has THE perfect sentiment and background to pair with this gorgeous butterfly image. The two of these kits together would be a great combination to own.

BROWN Thursday Unity Blog Hop 2014!!

It’s BROWN Thursday and Unity’s got a hop and a sale scheduled just for you! This sale is going to be THE sale to stock up on all of those stamps you’ve denied yourself all year long. I’ve held Thanksgiving at my house for most of the past 20 years because it’s just easier to do it that way. In addition, I know for a fact that the food will be good and my house will have the aromas I long for all year.

Leftovers. Enough said.

Still, after all of these years, I struggled with putting together an enormous grocery list from my recipes. Unfortunately, my recipes were buried in cookbooks, online bookmarks, or they may have even resided on that one piece of paper that was somewhere in my house. Somewhere. Pinterest had helped me but I had to struggle with my iPhone or tablet’s battery issues or WI-FI connection. After the frustration of putting together this year’s grocery list, I had ENOUGH!  I set out to create a central place for my recipes that was tangible AND cute, SO this is a picture of what I came up with and I couldn’t be happier. I even have room to add future recipes. Maybe I’ll even stash future grocery lists. Hooray for organization!

UNITY Fashionistas are some of my favorite stamps and I think they’ve put a sexy, fun, and sassy spin on this recipe holder. Don’t you think?  The sentiments I used on the cooking reference cards have me cracking up and giggling like a school girl. I think they will keep me in the right mood during one of the year’s most demanding holidays. Fashionistas and Kahlua.

I have an assembly video for you that shows how I put it together, how it looks in my hot little hands, AND I demonstrate how to use the Unity Bow Maker. Heck, I think it makes my hands look hot. These fashionistas are smokin’!

Unity Blog Hop 11.13.14!!

You KNOW it--It’s THURSDAY and Unity’s got a NEW sentiment kit, a NEW Unity {be inspired} Challenge, a SALE, and I’ve got a NEW video for you, too.

I live in Jackson, California, and we get a couple of snow days a year, so when it happens, it’s fun and it melts away in a couple of days. These are pictures of Gwen and Raiden having a backyard snowball showdown during last year’s “snow day”.  Little brother had no fear slamming a fat snowball at the back of his sister’s head and then running for cover. Little brothers. What fun!

In my layout above, I used the sketch (turned on its side) from the NEW Unity {be inspired} Challenge.  The snowflakes are from the NEW Sentiment Kit, “Like A Snowflake”.

In addition, I used a stamp from this month’s Layers of Life Kit, “Dwelling Dots” and a sentiment from “Snowballs for Sale”.

And now onto the video . . .

In my card below, I used the color challenge portion of the Unity {be inspired} Challenge with the NEW sentiment kit (the snowflakes AND the sentiment).

In my new video, I assemble the card shown above using the NEW sentiment kit, “Like a Snowflake”. The video is less than 3-1/2 minutes!!
