Happy End-of-April Hop Day Unity followers!! What have you all been creating
this past month with Unity stamps? Please share!
I’ve got some projects I’ve been working on this month using Unity Stamp
Company stamps along with a few QUICK videos to share the process.
Here’s a look-see at the 8-1/2-x-11-inch layout I completed for the KOTM
Monday post for the Unity Blog on the 11th of April.
Here’s a quick recap: I made this layout the Sunday before the post with the
new Kit of the Month for April 2016, "Without Fear . . . Without Limits".
That’s my happy traveling daughter, Brandi, exploring New Zealand this past
January. The sentiment is from the March 2016 Kit of the Month, “Chance to
Change”. I couldn’t resist repeating the butterfly image from this month’s kit
to make a border. Then I fussy-cut several of the butterflies, so they would
stand out. Overall, easy-peasy and time well spent on a rainy day.

Next up I airbrushed a 12-x-12-inch memorial scrapbook layout featuring Unity’s
NEW sentiment Kit, Mama’s & Grandma’s with a sentiment from NEW Bohemian
Backgrounds Kit.
That’s my mama in the frame of the layout. I always get a bit down around
Mother’s Day because I miss her in my life SO much. When she passed away, I
don’t think I had made it clear to her how much she meant to me in my life. I
was 23 years old and my creative side hadn’t emerged yet, so I never got to make
her anything that was from my heart and soul. That creative side of me didn’t
emerge for another ten or more years. It’s taken me quite a while to make
something with her picture (over 20 years now). My dad has most of the pictures
of my mom and I do have access to them, but this is my most favorite picture and
I own it, so rather than be depressed this Mother’s Day, I’m going to look at
this layout with her pretty picture.
I made a couple of process videos of the
layout.

Here’s another project I made using the Bohemian Backgrounds set.
I have a process video for this project, also.
I DO have the opportunity to read comments regarding my videos, and I appreciate your feedback. Yes--these projects I put together may not be QUICK and they may not be EASY for everyone, but that's where I'm at in my crafting journey and I want to share the process with you. We only get 1 minute and 30 seconds or less to do each video, so I gotta cram a lot into that timeframe. However, PLEASE feel free to ask questions. I'd be so happy to answer them. To add to that, use your pause button to read my prompts, and watch them on YouTube as there may be an option to slow the video down. I think? Right?

Last but not least, I put together a Father’s Day card using this week’s Stamp
of the Week, “Dad is There”.
Here’s a recap of that post: That’s right folks! Father’s Day is just around the
corner and there’s lots you can do with this image. I put together a Father’s
Day card in the shape of a snow globe using my Silhouette Cameo! Also, I put down the negative part of a DIY cloud stencil, filled my airbrush
with some Broken China Distress Ink, sprayed away, and made the background
behind the penguins. YEAH. It WAS quick and easy. Really.
Here’s a look at the inside where I placed the sentiment.
