Unity Blog HOP!

Unity Stamp Company has LOTS of new releases this week! Here are a couple of projects I made with NEW Unity and some videos showing you some mixed media techniques.

I used the NEW AngieGirl, Drew, in my art journal.

In this first video, I show you a FUN mixed media technique that creates a peeled paint background for your stamping projects in art journals, canvases, etc.

Supplies Used for this portion of the art journal page:
90lb Mixed Media paper
Paint Brush
2 or more colors of Acrylic Paint
Petroleum Jelly
Paper Towel
Heat Tool (not necessary--just let air dry)
Distressing Tools

In the second video, I show you how to utilize your peeled paint backgrounds (created in the previous video) in an art journal.

Supplies Used for this portion of the art journal page:
Sentiment from DrewGirl from Unity Stamp Company
Paper Punches or Dies (hearts)
Paint Brush
Acrylic Paint
Gel Medium
Book Paper
Heat Tool (not necessary--just let air dry)
Stamped Tissue Paper

In the final video, I show you how to adhere one of Unity's NEWEST AngieGirls to an art journal AND give a quick tip on how to make your art journal pages lie flat.

Supplies Used for this portion of the art journal page:
DrewGirl stamp set from Unity Stamp Company
Paint Brush
Gel Medium
Heat Tool (not necessary--just let air dry)
Large Book

Here’s a peek at Drew’s stamp set.

Next I created a Valentine’s-Day-themed card using Remi.
