Happy NEW YEAR!

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. We did and we’re looking forward to 2017!

Here are a few projects I completed the past couple of months that I haven’t posted to my blog using one of Unity’s Kits of the Month, a SMAK Kit, and a fairly new stamp set.

First up is an 8-1/2-x-11-inch scrapbook layout I made using this month’s kit of the month, “Always Been You”.

Last month, my hubby and I were fortunate enough to take a romantic ride on the Napa Valley Wine Train in their Vista Dome. I can’t tell you the last time we’ve had a date. It was an incredibly beautiful train ride complete with beautiful landscape, gourmet lunch, dessert, and champagne. If you live in the Bay Area or are visiting family or friends in the area, this is a MUST trip. I mean it. It was a gorgeous time of year, too! The photos we took coupled with this month’s kit of the month, made a keepsake in no time at all.

And here’s a peek at this month’s Kit of the Month.

Next up is a seasonal chipboard tag I made using, Hello Winter, created by Susan K. Weckesser. This is a great kit to use this wintery season.

I thought putting her right smack in the middle of a die cut mason jar with a snowy scene would set her off perfectly. Of course, she would make anything you put her on cute.

And lastly is a 10-x-8-inch mixed media canvas I made using November’s SMAK Kit.

On the above canvas, I layered the stamps on top of tissue paper and various other mediums. Here's the kit I used—I think I used approximately 9 stamps from the kit on the 1 canvas above.

Unity’s Brown Thursday Hop 2016!

Hey! Do you smell turkey roasting? What?! I don’t. I smell Unity rubber which is red, not brown. Moving on.

I have LOTS to show you today! I’ve put together some sentiment cards and rolodex cards using Unity’s NEW stamps.

Let’s get started with my favorite thing to do—photo piecing and paper piecing AngieGirls! It really, really, really is my favorite technique to do with Angie Blom’s AngieGirls. I like to kid around and call them CammieGirls when I’m done. Because.

Can you see why? LOOK how cute I am! Seriously. Days like this I wish I would have had these stamps and mad skills back in high school yearbook {I could have been somebody}.

TIP: I can’t be amazing every single day, BUT I get daily inspiration from this Unity filled rolodex. Look for used Rolodex card holders at yard sales, thrift stores, your garage, your aunt’s house, etc. Then fill them with what inspires you most like Unity stamps, Unity quick tips and techniques, your FACE, memories, whatever! Have a few of them and place them around your house, office, and/or work place. I think the office or work place would be a great place to keep some crafted rolodex cards filled with Unity sentiments and images. Then when someone has a birthday, anniversary, bad day, etc., you could present them with something you made just for them, when THEY need it. They’d be fun to trade, too. DO IT!

Below is the card sitting on the rolodex card holder. So adorable!

Here’s a look at Angie’s set I used called Poppy Girl.

This kit is amazing!

TIP: You could separate the flowers if you wanted by fussy cutting them away and using them without the girl as an embellishment if you wanted. Use your imagination. They are beautiful.

Here’s another AngieGirl where I enthusiastically photo pieced my crazy face.

In real life, I would NEVER pose with this face, but as CammieGirl I totally did. Totally.

Here’s a peek at Missing You Girl kit.

So, those are the CammieGirls this time.

Now onto some fur babies!

OMG—so adorable, right? This is another one by Angie Blom called Lucky Dog Kit. You get BOTH fur babies in one kit.

Here’s a peek at that kit.

Here’s a few pictures of ALL three of the rolodex cards sitting on my rolodex together. It’s really coming together nicely and it’s great to get a giggle once in a while. If I can’t laugh at me, you can’t either. Go ahead. Laugh at me. I do every single day. Go nuts!

Tis the season for cardmaking! Here’s a few cards I made using Lisa Arana’s Full of Merry Kit.

TIP: Using a Silhouette machine’s Pixscan technology with Silhouette software, make a custom mat or frame for Unity’s sentiments (and images). Once you get the hang of it, it’s easy AND you won’t have to store all those dies. Seriously. That’s what I did for all the sentiments on the cards below.

Here’s another card where I used my Silhouette for a custom sentiment mat.

I used the following kit on the above card by Angie Blom, Joy to Go Kit.

Here are all of my cards getting together and looking beautiful for this group photo. Cheese!

Unity Blog Hop September 2016!

What!? It’s the end of September already?

Here’s my post where I show you how I’ve been using Unity Stamp Company stamps through the month of September. I’ve done some scrapbooking, some rolodex’ing, and made a fall-themed canvas, too.

I haven’t done any scrapping in a while and thought I’d get back into it by scrapping a wonderful experience I had in the month of September with my daughter.

Me and Brandi were lucky enough to catch Jake Bugg at Ace of Spades in Sacramento, CA. If you haven’t heard of Jake Bugg, look him up. You’ll be glad you did. Brandi surprised me with these tickets back on Mother’s Day, so I’ve been anticipating this date for a while. His set was spectacular and it was a perfect venue to see this young man perform. I’m so lucky!  By far, the BEST live performance I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen quite a few). We’ve lost some legends this year in the music industry, but this artist gives me hope for the future. He’s done so much already. Really. Look him up.

On the above layout, I used EVERY NEW kit by Jolande & Marleen’s release this week at Unity Stamp Company. I also used a sentiment from Unity’s September’s Kit of the Month and a sentiment from Your Life Yours by Angie Blom.

Here’s the fall-themed canvas I created this month for DT Tuesday on Unity’s blog.

Here’s a recap of some of that blog post: Today I’m sharing a 7-x-5-inch mixed media canvas I created using a sentiment from Unity Stamp Company’s September Kit of the Month, the truck-and-pumpkins image from Angie Blom’s Great Blessings kit, and a NEW stamp from one of Jolande and Marleen’s new kits.

On the above canvas, I used lots of mixed media techniques like adhering tissue paper, adding distress paint, and using distressing tools, but what makes it really come to life are the stamped images from Unity Stamp Company. I’m hoping to get started (sort of late but not really) on my Fall décor. The best time to decorate is in the season anyway. That’s usually when I finally get off my bottom and gets things going. It’s just how I’m inspired—feeling it happening around me--you know, in the moment.

And here’s the rolodex cards I created for the lovely month of September using Unity Stamp Company stamps for a SMAK/LOL Saturday post on the Unity Stamp Company blog.

Here’s a recap of some of that blog post: It’s Camille here today using September’s SMAK and LOL kits on some DIY rolodex cards I made using my Silhouette Cameo to display on a second-hand rolodex rotary card holder.

So a couple of weeks ago, I finally pulled out a rolodex card holder I had scored at a thrift store that I had been holding onto for quite a little while. I decided to get crafting and put it to good use this Fall/Winter to display some quick Unity stamping projects. Here’s another look at one of the cards from above.

If you have any of these lying around your office, garage, craft room or otherwise, put them to good use and display some of your stamping projects. You’ll be glad you did.

Unity Blog Hop August 2016!

Welcome everyone and HAPPY August!
Here’s how I’ve been using Unity Stamp Company stamps through the month of August in my craft room.

I’ve been collecting Rolodex Rotary Card Holders for the past few years at local thrift stores and finally got around to actually creating cards for them—YIPPEEE!

Here’s a peek at each of the cards I made for the Rolodex with some of this month’s new releases from Unity Stamp Company.

Here’s a canvas I created earlier in the month for the SMAK Saturday blog post over at the Unity Stamp Company blog.

Unity Blog Hop 07.28.16!

There’s been LOTS of NEW Unity releases throughout the month of July! Have you seen all of them? Here’s how I’ve been using Unity this hot and crispy ol’ month of July.

The most FUN this July for me was using the NEW Eve Girl designed by Angie Blom and photo-piecing my face in it for a totally customized holiday-themed tag. This is the best fun I’ve had in July EVER! It’s always so hot, so If you can squeeze in some winter holiday fun, it makes the heat a little more tolerable I think.

Talk about customizing your tags—just photo-piece your face in this adorable NEW AngieGirl and attach tags to all of your gifts this holiday season.

Here’s another look-see from a different angle.

And now here’s a look at both of the sets I used on the above tag.

Clicking on the images below will take you to the products’ page at Unity Stamp Company.

Earlier in the month, I had some fun creating with one of the NEW Stamps of the Week, “Truth Be Told”.  Here’s a look at some chipboard tags I adorned with that week’s Stamp of the Week and it’s beautiful message.

Here's a closer look at one of the tags.

If you become a SOTW subscriber, it’s like having inspiration in your mailbox every week.
Clicking on the image below will take you to the Stamp-of-the-Week subscription page at Unity Stamp Company (although THIS stamp set is no longer available—there’s a NEW SOTW).

In this next project, I used July’s SMAK Kit, Hearts Reflection, with layers of printed/stamped tissue paper, gel medium, and applied various colors of Tim Holtz Distress Paints and inks. Did you notice the butterfly twinkling in the middle of the eye?

As always, every month's SMAK images are perfect for mixed media projects, scrapbooking, and everyone at Unity’s favorite, card making.

Here’s a look at the July SMAK kit, Hearts Reflection.
