NEW Heritage Edition Project Life Full Collection

crobinson_091613lg

To our children we give two things. One is roots. The other is wings.

Perfect quote for the basis of a new layout about my daughter, Brandi.  This past May she graduated from Sacramento State University with her BA in deaf studies with highest honors.  SHE earned it.  This young woman paid her dues by working nearly full-time and earning scholarships to help fund her education.  She did it all on her own and has paid her fees in full!  I’m constantly in awe of her accomplishments and how responsible she is at such a young age. She’s my hero.

Brandi has been traveling since she was a young teen, starting with visiting our nation’s capital in junior high with her class.  Later in high school she became a world traveler as a student ambassador starting with Australia, then Malta, Italy, and France.  This past summer she was able to get away again.  This time to New Zealand.  Over the years, we’ve enjoyed her pictures and her travel stories.  We’ve seen her transformation.  No matter how far she travels, she always wants to come home and share her experiences with us and bring her brothers and sister souvenirs and treats she has accumulated for them while traveling.

The above layout displays a picture of her graduating from Sac State this past May and the other two pictures were taken on her recent trip to New Zealand.  The one at the top shows a picture of the wing of the plane she was in while traveling to a destination in New Zealand and the one on the bottom shows just how adventurous she was while in New Zealand—bungee jumping!

We are all so very proud of her accomplishments and the responsible, yet adventurous, woman she’s become.  We look forward to many future memories!

For the layout, I used filler cards, journal cards, and patterned papers from the NEW Heritage Edition Full Collection now available at Digital Project Life.  The butterflies, heart, arrow with sentiment/tab, scallop life card frame, and instaframe were filled with prints from the digital kit and were print-and-cut with my Silhouette Portrait machine.
