Color Combos Galore #239--Fairy Tales in Pink!

239.cr_card

This week, the focal point of my card came from Inspiration Photo#3/Focus On Accent--Accordion Flower.  I love to make accordion flowers.  They add just the right dimension and whimsy to projects and they’re just fun to make, especially when you have such a playful combo as #239!

I was further inspired by the other photos of this week’s inspiration board.  In particular, Inspiration Photo #2, where I used a heart shape in the middle of my accordion flower and then used a frame to hold the accordion flower. In the end, I added glossy accents to the heart for subtle dimension and shine. This heart element and sentiment is from Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Element Pack 1 now available at AC Digitals.com.

Here’s the description from AC Digitals:  Dear Lizzy Neapolitan is soft and feminine, featuring candy-shop colors and a diffused watercolor effect that takes you into a daydream of hand-drawn Mason jars, ice cream cones, and balloons.  The Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Element Pack #1 includes 85 elements in PNG format.

From that same photo, I gained inspiration from the polka dots as I dry-embossed the frame with a Cuttlebug polka dot embossing folder.

From Inspiration Photo #4, my background print (Hero Arts Large Flower Background) was inspired by the print/texture of the pillows on the bed.

The design of the card is labeled “All Occasion Card Kit” and is a cut file in the Silhouette Online Store by designer, Lori Whitlock.
