Hey—Happy Thursday! Today I’m participating in one of the most-anticipated hops
of my crafty life and am sharing an 8-1/2-x-11-inch scrapbook layout as part of
the Unity & Brutus Monroe Blog Hop. YES!
Here’s a peek at the layout using all four of the NEW background stamps rolling
out for today’s hop.
I used Spilled Paint, Barn Wall, Hit the Brick, and Dance with Denim on my
layout above simply by stamping them onto cardstock and using my Silhouette to
cut out the various circles on the layout and strips that make the border on the bottom of the layout. You could also utilize a punch if that’s what you
have in your crafty arsenal. Of note, the strips were adhered to my layout using a zig-zag stitch.
To save time and energy, but mostly to be happy with the end results, I used a sketch I found online at https://www.studiocalico.com/blog. They have quite a few sketches I use from time to time.
The selfie of my daughter and me in the layout was taken during a concert at
the Ironstone Amphitheatre in Murphys, California, this past August when we saw
Bush, The Cult, and Stone Temple Pilots. We had a blast together. It was a great
show and a beautiful venue to relax and sip wine. I’m definitely going there
again. Check it out if you live nearby.
Here’s a close-up of the layout.
These background stamps are so versatile. You can use them on all of your
craft projects including cards, mixed media canvases, tags—you name it. I really
don’t know which one is my favorite. That’s why I used them all.
