YEP!! It’s THURSDAY and Unity’s got NEW releases—a SALE, a blog hop, and I’ve got a NEW video for you, too.
That’s my daughter, Gwen, and her very best friend, Jenna. I took this picture of them last week just before they headed off to their first Jr. High School Halloween Dance and I’ve been in the mood to scrap all week!
In my new video, I assemble the layout, using this sketch from Studio Calico (http://www.studiocalico.com/blog/2014/10/26/sunday-sketch-natalie) as inspiration. For the layout, I use the following two stamp sets from Unity Stamp Company.
TIP: I use an ultrafine black sharpie pen in my Silhouette to help “sketch” the layout, so that I can lay down my picture and embellishments. In the video, you will get an idea of what I mean. This is an excellent tool to use as you won’t have to measure or worry if your placement is off when adhering your photos and embellishments, etc.
Other Supplies/Tools Used on Happy Haunting Layout
Silhouette Cameo, Silhouette Pen Holder, & Silhouette Chipboard
Tim Holtz Black Soot and Vintage Photo Distress Ink with sponge dauber
Tim Holtz Paper Distresser
Becky Higgins Script Handwriting Font available at digitalprojectlife.com
Arsenic & Lace Patterned Paper by Echo Park & The Spider Web Kit 1 by Carina Gardner available at snapclicksupply.com
Multimono Liquid Glue, Scotch ATG, & dimensional foam adhesive
In addition, if you haven’t seen how I use my Silhouette Cameo with the Pixscan mat to help me with my fussy cutting, here’s a video I prepared a little while back.

Thanks so much everyone! Janis--now I see it! I have a soft spot for brunettes with hazel eyes. The Suzi Blu image is WAY cuter, though.
