Welcome to this week’s hop!
School begins next week and we’ve been school shopping and prepping for the new academic year. I’m always super excited for their new year to begin—I can feel their excitement—BUT I’m gonna miss having them around.
Now that school is starting, Halloweentime is just around the corner. The “trick or treat” label from this month’s kit of the month was calling my name (and so were the Twix, Snickers, Milky Way, etc).
The door hanger box and dimensional flowers are Silhouette cut files purchased through the Silhouette America Online Store and were cut from Silhouette’s chipboard and covered with cardstock/patterned paper. I can see lots of ghastly (but oh-so cute!) projects with that label on it—lots of use from that one.
This kit of the month is called “Summer Collapsed into Fall”. From butterflies to witch hats, it’s full of fun for the seasons transition.
The little apple from the kit of the month was calling my name, too—just in time for school to start. One of the littles could present their teacher with a sticky note holder. Teachers always need those, don’t they? The note holder is a Silhouette cut file purchased through the Silhouette America Online Store and was cut from Silhouette’s chipboard and covered with cardstock/patterned paper.
Now onto some much needed scrap time!
Last month we took a trip to the California State Fair in Sacramento for the day. In my opinion, the best part of the whole day was the petting zoo. Gwen and Raiden took their time and fed all the animals. One deer followed Gwen all around the zoo, and I was amazed by that. We see deer quite a bit where we live but you just can’t get near them. She enjoyed her time at the petting zoo with the friendly deer.
In the layout above, I used “Big Inspiration Big Words” that was released last week.
Also, I used “Wordy Buck” which is a NEW Release this week.
