Unity Blog Hop 07.28.16!

There’s been LOTS of NEW Unity releases throughout the month of July! Have you seen all of them? Here’s how I’ve been using Unity this hot and crispy ol’ month of July.

The most FUN this July for me was using the NEW Eve Girl designed by Angie Blom and photo-piecing my face in it for a totally customized holiday-themed tag. This is the best fun I’ve had in July EVER! It’s always so hot, so If you can squeeze in some winter holiday fun, it makes the heat a little more tolerable I think.

Talk about customizing your tags—just photo-piece your face in this adorable NEW AngieGirl and attach tags to all of your gifts this holiday season.

Here’s another look-see from a different angle.

And now here’s a look at both of the sets I used on the above tag.

Earlier in the month, I had some fun creating with one of the NEW Stamps of the Week, “Truth Be Told”.  Here’s a look at some chipboard tags I adorned with that week’s Stamp of the Week and it’s beautiful message.

Here's a closer look at one of the tags.

If you become a SOTW subscriber, it’s like having inspiration in your mailbox every week.

In this next project, I used July’s SMAK Kit, Hearts Reflection, with layers of printed/stamped tissue paper, gel medium, and applied various colors of Tim Holtz Distress Paints and inks. Did you notice the butterfly twinkling in the middle of the eye?

As always, every month's SMAK images are perfect for mixed media projects, scrapbooking, and everyone at Unity’s favorite, card making.

Unity Blog Hop 06.30.16!

YIPPEE! It’s summer.
Time to suffer through the heat and like it.
Except I don’t like it. I loathe it.

Enough of that.

LOTS of NEW Unity releases and I’m sure a SALE!

Here’s how I’ve been using Unity this past month.

FUN in the summer for me is using the NEW fairy from Angie Blom’s new set and photo-piecing my face in it! LOOK!

To me, the image looked more like Glinda the Good Witch, and so I went with a quote from the movie, The Wizard of Oz, when Glinda said, “You are capable of more than you know.” Just simply because, aren’t we all?!

Here’s another view of my Camilda the Good Witch tag.

I’m telling you, it was a GOOD time with this set.

Here’s a canvas I made with May’s SMAK Kit, “Sentimental Journey”.

My daughters, Brandi and Gwen, are so different from each other. Both are continually growing and sharing their life experiences with us. At the beginning of June, they traveled together to Washington, D.C. I’m a bit behind on scrapping those pictures.

The flower, arrow, and sentiment are from May’s LOL Kit, “Find Your Happy”.

And here’s another canvas I did using one of Unity’s Stamps of the Week, “A Chance Everyday”.

Unity Blog Hop 05.26.16!!

YAY!! We’re almost to summer—at least the part that I like. I’ll be singing a different tune July-October when it’s been above 95 for more days than I’d like to think about.

LOTS of NEW Unity releases lately! This one is my favorite, so I put together a little canvas with it.

Isn’t that kitty adorable?
I applied some Glossy Accents to the heart and the glasses. Here’s a closer look.

Here’s a peek at the entire “Meow Meow Meow” Kit by Angie Blom. Clicking on the image below will take you to this product’s page at Unity Stamp Company.

Here’s a bit of a recap of the other Unity projects I’ve been working on in May 2016!

Often times I’m inspired to do a project because of the stamp set. I desperately wanted to use the flowers and sentiment from this month’s Kit of the Month, A Summer Story.

Clicking on the image below will take you to the Kit-of-the-Month subscription page at Unity Stamp Company.

I wanted the canvas to be nice and simple, so the project came together pretty easily. Don't you just love it when that happens?

Here’s a closer look.

Now onto a different type of project--TAGS!

Recently, I’ve been inspired to use ANGIEGirls in a different way. Here’s what I mean—take a look!
Do you notice anything different about the ANGIEGirl below?

That's MY face in an ANGIEGirl!
I got started crafting with scrapbooking. I've been doing that for quite a while. When this idea came to me, I couldn't get to my crafty space fast enough. It melds the worlds of stamping, paper piecing, and scrapping into one FUN world.

Clicking on the images below will take you to the product pages at Unity Stamp Company.

Here’s another couple of tags using “Katie” and “Evelyn” as my very own personal paper dolls.

Do you like my facial expression in that one? I had fun taking the selfies.

This is my tribute to Prince tag. We have lots of fans in our house. I loved every minute of expressing myself on this tag as a Prince fan through the use of an ANGIEGirl.

I’m telling you, this was a GOOD time. I can’t want to do more, and I hope you’ll want to try it, too.

What ANGIEGirls will you use?
