A Package Deal for Dad

Almost Father’s Day! This year I decided to make Dad’s gift fun for me, too. I’ve always wanted to admire my husband in a bow tie, so I made him one with a little help using Photo Fabric and digital scrapbooking supplies from jessicasprague.com. This is why digital reigns supreme—not only can I make paper supplies like scrapbook pages and cards but I can also make a useful, fun, and inexpensive keepsake ensemble using coordinating supplies for a bow tie, card, and box!

Playing (a lot) with My New Distress Markers

My new Distress Markers arrived this past Friday. I LOVE them and can't put them down. Suddenly it has become clear to me why I hadn't invested in all the hooplah over pens and markers that have wooed the crowds in the past few years. Apparently, I was holding out for these. They play so well with the Distress ink pads. I can stamp my focal image using black Archival, play with the markers, eagerly laying color down on my image, and once I'm satisfied, I apply Distress ink over the image to make my background. I'm so in love! They're very user friendly and the look you can get from them is remarkable. I'm really digging the look of them on watercolor paper when I blend them using a water brush. You can use them on plain old cardstock as well. I invested in the full set and I'm glad I did. I hope you all get yours soon. You're going to love them I promise!
